This is a charitable event with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Parkersburg Humane Society. There are two races to choose from: a 5k run and a 1 mile fun run/walk. Adults and children of all ages are invited to participate. You may also donate pet food/supplies.

The Race

Race day is October 18 th at 9am. The course is flat. Both events begin and end at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School located at the corner of 6 th and Holley Street in St. Albans. There will be water stations during the race and refreshments at the finish.

Registration

You may pre-register by Oct 10. Print the regristration form and mail it with a check made payable to St. Francis Development. Race day registration will be available starting at 8am at the start.

Entrance Fee

$20 for the 5k and $10 for the walk. Kids 12 and under are free.

Tshirts are included in the 5k fee only. T-shirts may be purchased for $12.00 (see registration form and available race day)

Directions

From I-64, take the St. Albans exit, at the end of the ramp turn right onto Route 35 and follow it until it meets Route 60 (second light), turn left onto 60, turn right at 3 rd St. (Taco Bell) and then left at 6 th Ave., follow 6 th to the school. From the Kanawha Tpk, turn at Holley St. (near Newbrough Photography) and follow Holley to the school.

Awards

Awards will be given to first, second and third place runners in each age division. Leader of the pack (1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place) awards will be given to walkers. Additionally, we will include the “silver muzzle” award and “young pup” award to walkers.
